Wolfe Chain Conveyors come in a vary of different sizes to meet your process demands from 500mm - 2000mm wide. They offer different kinds of attachments to best suit your process requirements. The two main chain conveying types are chain scraper and chain belt.
Chain scraper conveyors have an endless chain with scraper (Nylon, wood or steel) which runs in a closed trough. The scraper drags the material along the wear plates on the bottom of the conveyor to the outlet. This also allows for the option for driven slide valves for conveying material to different bays. Depending on the material it’s possible for the material to be conveyed horizontally, on an incline or vertically at 90 degrees. This makes them particularly suitable for use as discharge or distribution conveyors. Sectional trough design allows for easy maintenance and replacement of wear parts on the conveyor sections. This also allows for the conveyor to have sections added or removed in the future to meet your demands for expansion.
Chain belt conveyors have an endless chain with a fixed slat between the chains where the belt is fixed on to convey the material on the top deck where the scraper conveyor drags material on the bottom deck. These are good for high volume and large weight loads as the belt cannot slip like conventional conveyors that rely on friction to rotate the belt. They can also be fitted into a pit so they can be loaded with a loading shovel at floor level. This option is especially popular within the paper recycling industry.
